On a recent trip to Yalta, I stayed in an apartment offered by www.BlackSea-Crimea.com. This apartment was terrific. It was reasonable priced, clean, very attractive and located right on the Black Sea with a balcony overlooking the sea and Yalta. But even more so, their customer service is terrific. You see, I had my camera stolen by two thieves. Thanks to the help of Slav and Ivan of BlackSea-Crimea.com, I got my camera back. They assisted in dealing the police and even helped me avoid having to make a "payoff" to the local police department.

If you ever get the chance to travel to Yalta, be sure to use their services... transportation, apartments, translation services, tours. Great people, great organization.

Slav and Ivan were simply amazing in helping me plan my trip and deal with the inevitable 'issues' that arise when travelling on the road. The accomodation in Yalta and Sevastopol was great - central and reasonably priced. Slav was great in responding to my queries pre trip, including proving me with invaluable information to assist me obtain a tourist visa. After losing my eftpos card in a Kiev ATM and having no cash, Slav and Ivan went beyond the call of duty and helped me sort things out back home to arrange a replacement. Without their help, I think I'd still be stuck on the road. I'll always appreciate their help and recommend Slav/Ivan to anyone planning a trip to the Crimea/Ukraine.

what a ripper of a holiday in Yalta!! vanya was the best asset i could have there and without his assistance i would have been lost. i will look forward to my return trip and having a few "bolshoy pivos" with all in Yalta.

A big Thank You to Slav Rubel for his help with our trip to Yalta. The website was extremely informative and made it easy for us to make a decision about which apartment to book. Slav's email responses to our numerous (and obvious) questions were quick and helpful (his English is fantastic!). Without him meeting us at the bus station and coming with us to the apartment, we would never have found our way. He also acted as a translator for us with the apartment owner, which made life so much simpler (as we don't speak Ukranian/Russian).
The apartment was of a higher standard than expected (the photos didn't do it's size justice - it was so much bigger in real life!), and the balcony had a good view of the sea/harbour and even came with an adopted cat!
I can definite recommend Black_Sea Crimea as a company to make any trip to the Crimea a pleasant. If we ever come back to Ukraine, we'll be in touch.

Would like to say thank you to Slav for organising our accomodation whilst in Kiev and the Crimea. Accomodation was good for the price range and all rooms had a fridge. This I found really useful.
We also appreciated that you phoned our hotel in Kiev to check we'd arrived and were ok. This was unexpected amd demonstrates the excellent service we received from Slav.
I highly recommend booking a holiday to the Ukraine with Slav, it would have been a nightmare without his help. The Crimea is lovely, well worth a visit and can only suggest taking your holiday in the Ukraine.

Thank you for a nice stay in Yalta in July 2011. A beautiful appartement and nice people. We also had a fantastic guided tour with Ivan as guide, thanks to him too.

Ivan, thanks so much for the tour of Sevastopol and surrounding area that you gave to Lucy and I on Sept 4. You really knew a lot about the history and culture of the region. Your excellent command of English made it very easy to communicate effectively. And the price that we paid saved us a lot compared to what it would have cost to book the tour on the cruise ship. Additionally, you gave us more time that they would have and having only the three of us was a big plus.
